JAMB 2017 Registration: Steps To Resolve And Avoid Cases Of Invalid E-Pins
The Joint Admission and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has been drawn to cases of candidates being unable to complete their registrations due to invalid E-PINS.
According to JAMB, this is caused by the following;
1.A very high rate of candidates buying ePINS without creating their profile first.
2.Incorrect email address provided at the bank teller…..
3..Recent enforcement of email validation of candidates emails. Candidates who have not created their profile properly would be affected.
4.Unforeseen technical issues in the PIN vending system.
If you are one of those affected by this, here are the next steps you are to take.
1.Do NOT to buy new pins in the case of invalid pins. The cause of the invalid pin has been investigated
2. All candidates having invalid pins responses have been captured on the system and will receive their PIN details on or before Monday 27th March,2017.
3.Emails with candidate name, email and valid pins will be sent to candidates before Monday 27th March 2017.
To avoid the issue of invalid E-PIN, candidates MUST ensure
1. They create their profiles before proceeding to buy the ePIN. D ePIN vendors (Banks) can create d profile before vending the pin.
2. Each candidate’s email address will now be verified on the system before e-PINS are vended.
3. Any candidate with an incorrect email address will not be served. It therefore requires entering the same valid email address twice.
4. All candidates are to ensure that they provide valid phone numbers.
5. Candidates are encouraged to utilize only Jamb accredited Centers and ensure they do not patronize fraudsters.
Please send an email to JAMB directly if you are charged above the Board’s official fee at support.jamb.org.ng

BREAKING: Gunmen storm Benue community, 30 killed
BREAKING: Gunmen storm Benue community, 20 killed
The raid was carried out on Monday, March 20. A community leader, Chief Udam Wuhe, said more than 10 gunmen stormed the town from TorTonda- Zaki Biam road at about 5:00pm.
According to him, the residents counted not fewer than 20 dead bodies with several others injured and many houses razed.
Daily Post reports that Wuhe could not ascertain if the attackers were Fulani herdsmen.
The incident is coming barely one week after suspected herdsmen killed over 10 person in Buruku area of the state, which led to the governor, Samuel Ortom issuing them 72 hours ultimatum to vacate the area.
The state Police Public Relation Officer, Moses Yamu, who confirmed the killing, however, said the casualty figure has not been ascertained.
“We are yet to ascertain the number of those killed in the attack. Our men are already on ground there to restore normalcy to the area,” he said.
Below are more photos from the raid.
N/B: Most of the photos are "Graphic", viewers' discretion is advised.
This day reports that most of those killed were said to be traders and businessmen.
According to an eyewitness, “the gunmen stormed the yam market on about 12 Bajaj motorcycles and four Toyota Corolla cars and started shooting at anyone in sight.”
Several cars and a fuel station were also razed as pandemonium engulfed the area.
The eyewitness described the incident as a bloodbath.
When contacted, the state commissioner of police, Bashir Makama, confirmed the killings but stated that the police were yet to ascertain the exact number of casualties.
Meanwhile, as the killings were going on, Governor Samuel Ortom was giving a run down of the security situation in state and measures taken by his government to bring an end to the invasion and attacks by herdsmen on innocent people of the state.
He stated that his decision to expel Fulani herdsmen in the affected areas of the state was to pave the way for Tiv farmers to continue their farming activities.
Ortom insisted that it was impossible for herdsmen and farmers to operate in harmony, pointing out that his administration would not fold its arms and allow people fall prey to foreigners and killers and it was his government’s responsibility to ensure security for the people
The governor further cautioned against confrontations as the herdsmen make their way out of the state, adding that the security operatives would ensure they move out safely to where they came from.
Also speaking with the residents, the state police commissioner, on behalf of other security agencies, called for caution among youths and urged them to restrain themselves from resorting to violence at the slightest provocation but to remain patient.
Makama promised that the security agencies would not relent in the discharge of their duties.
Melaye's graduation dates removed from his profile on Senate's website
Sahara Reporters has alleged that the Nigerian Senate under the leadership of Senate President Bukola Saraki has made changes to Melaye's profile on the National House of Assembly's website.
Although Melaye attended the University, there were allegations he failed some of his final exams and did not graduate.
Picture evidences shows that while there were dates of graduation in his profile initially, all traces of dates have been wiped out and replace with empty space as allegations thickens.

2017 UTME will be hitch-free - JAMB Coordinator
Mr Sunday Aladegbaye, Lagos State Coordinator of the Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB), has said that all the 2017 Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME) intending candidates will experience a hitch-free examination.
Aladegbaye said this on the sidelines of the Parents’ Forum organised by the Management of the King’s College on Thursday in Lagos.
According to him, there will be no compromise in the accreditation of centres to be used for this year’s UTME.
He said that measures were being taken to avoid technical hitches.
The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that some candidates that sat for the examination in 2016 complained of technical challenges in some of the centres.
Such hitches ranged from malfunctioning of computers to poor power supply. This resulted to moving affected candidates to other functional centres.
“We have taken time to go round designated centres in the states, in order to ascertain the level of functionality of their computers, the backups and other requirements.
“Where we find missing gap, we dropped such centres immediately and those that meet requirements, we recommend them to management.
“We will continue to insist on accreditation of well-equipped centres; no more, no less.
“This is because, as a parent myself, I will not do anything that will compromise the future of my children,’’ Aladegbaye said.
NAN learnt that the board would begin the sales of its registration documents for the UTME before the end of March.
The coordinator warned candidates not to fall prey to some desperate persons, who had been defrauding innocent Nigerians in the guise of selling registration documents.

Story Time + My Wedding Photos: I Love You Hassan I’m Sorry We Have To End It This Way (All For You — Episode 3)
Read Episode 1 & 2 Here
“Hi” Madison greeted with a gentle peck on his cheek.
“how is my queen today? Hassan forced himself to speak, evading the dampness of his heart.
From his countenance, Madison knew something was wrong somewhere. Oh, how she wish it wasn’t what she was thinking.
“you don’t look happy, everything okay? She asked in her American accent, she’s spent years in Nigeria, some of the things they’ve not lost to the Nigerian nation are her accent and skin color.
Hassan couldn’t hold it any longer, he just have to tell her whole nine yards.
“my dad! He had a heart attack today, it was so worst that he’d have to be flown out of the country for further treatments”
Madison was gobsmacked, this wasn’t what she bargained for, now she knows her mom was right when she said she, Madison and Hassan weren’t meant to be.
“you know, I can’t help but blame myself, its all my fault….i…..”
Madison cut him in.
“no Hassan, it’s not your fault, if there is anyone to blame, that should be me.
I’m just like a pest in your life, ever since we met, I’ve caused you nothing but trouble….I’m sorry Hassan” she summoned the whole energy in her to stop herself from crying. The more she tried, the more rains of tears flood her eyes.
She couldn’t break herself to believe she was leaving Hassan. Fate can be so cruel sometimes! He was the only one who could draw out a genuine smile from the darkest part of her heart, he was the only first and true love she ever experienced.
Hassan was confused. “w….wh….what do you mean? He asked in utter frustration.
“Hassan we live in two separate worlds, separated by religion, royalty, and race. Our destinies are separated like heaven and earth, we were never meant to take a step from platonic friendship….i love you Hassan I’m sorry we have to end it this way”
Hassan rubbed his eyes fiercely no! This can’t be happening, it must be some sort of dream.
” no Madison, I can’t last a day without you and you know it, please don’t leave me.
If you want, we can elope, yes! To a far away country where no one would know us, let alone disturb.”
Madison shook her head in the negative. “I’m doing this for you Hassan, all for you. Your sick father needs you, the palace needs you and your people. They all need you more than I do. You are a prince I am nothing but a foreigner who’d ruin your life and ambition…..farewell Hassan.
Hassan held her cheeks with both hands, tears streamed his dark face. The last time he cried like this was when he lost his twin, Hassana. That was eight years ago.
He had learned to move on, Madison coming into his life was a great help with that.
He’d think Madison was incarnate of Hassana. They both had one thing in common- brightening up his mood.
He can’t lose Madison! What would his life be like? Trash, hopeless, frustrated, miserable?
“Goodbye Hassan, please don’t bother looking for me ’cause we’d be moving out of the country sooner or later. Please remember this, I love you and I’ll always do” she pecked him on the forehead.
“take this necklace, it’ll remind you of me….bye”
she gave him a silver necklace with a pendant made of glass. Inside the glass was a capture of her beautiful self.
Hassan went to stupor he didn’t mind the embarrassing fact that he was standing on the round. He wished the earth around him would just quake and swallow him up.
What the reason there to leave when two most important people in his life are gone?
He wiped away his tears with a small oxblood hankie.
Every cloud has a silver lining, it’s high time he concentrates more on the family he has left; his sick father, aging mother and kid sister.
His father wasn’t polygamous as against most rich men from the north. Hassan admired that and promised himself to stick only to one woman. Woman? He just realized he’s lost the very woman he loved, no other woman can occupy his now shattered heart.
He picked his broken self together and drove back to the palace, what a day! First, he gave his dad a heart attack and now his lover have left him, the joyous Hassan in him flew away, he was left with a shattered body and soul to deal with.
Madison and her family left the country a week later. There in the united states, she realized she was pregnant. She already calls it quits with Hassan, more so the pregnancy wouldn’t change anything. Her belly grew bigger as the days passed by, nine months later; the glorious period!
She gave birth to a set of identical twins; Michael and Gabriel.
She nurtured and showered them with all the love a mother could breed. But something was missing- a father!
Five years afterward, she fell in love with Spencer Sherwood; an afro-American. Their beautiful union brought forth a child- Nathan. Sherwood died a couple of years later. Leaving Madison to think she wasn’t destined to be married.

Years later………..
